Alternative Rock (Modern Rock) band from Los Angeles, California (USA). Audioslave formed in 2001 (briefly using the name Civilian) and disbanded in 2007. The four-piece band consisted of then-former Soundgarden lead singer/rhythm guitarist [a=Chris Cornell], and then-former [a=Rage Against the Machine] members [a=Tom Morello] (lead guitar), [a=Tim Commerford] (bass/backing vocals) and [a=Brad Wilk] (drums).
