British post punk band formed in Birmingham in 1978 and continued until 1983. Original members: Lesley Woods - guitar/vocals Paul Foad - guitar/vocals Jane Munro - bass Pete Hammond - drums In August 2025, Lesley Woods announced a series of live dates using the Au Pairs name in early 2026 to celebrate the 45th anniversary of 'Playing With a Different Sex'. None of the other original members will be involved as they declined to audition for their positions in the band (!)
