Amália Rodrigues (born in Lisbon, July 23rd, 1920 - died Lisbon, October 6, 1999) was a Portuguese singer and actress. Rodrigues was considered one of the greatest ever singers of fado. Her younger sister [a=Celeste Rodrigues] was also a successful Fado singer.
