Biography
Swedish music group formed in December 2012. Amason started as a side project for the group's members, who are all part of other Swedish indie pop bands: [a1974728] , [a641063], his brother [a676104] as well as [a1109464] and [a282518]. The band released their first single Margins in January 2013 and performed their debut gig the following month. In June 2013, the next single called Went to War was released and during the summer of 2013 the band played at several music festivals such as Roskildefestivalen, Way Out West and Popaganda. Amason was nominated for a Grammy in the Newcomer of the Year category at the 2014 Grammy Awards. Amason were nominated in three categories for P3 Gold 2016: group of the year, pop of the year and Guldmicken, which is awarded to the best live act.
